RFEM |
General purpose fe-program with the ability of external coding in C# and VisualBasic for parametric calculations and nonlinear problems. The finite element program RFEM is able to calculate beam, shell and volume structures in 2d or 3d. All element types can be combined in one calculation. Elements with changing status (lift off, cables, buckling,...) may be integrated. Displacement couplings between nodes are available (e.g. rigid end sections, hinges, ...). For cables the influence of the sag to the stiffness may be considered. Any kind of spring (linear, nonlinear,...) for single or combined degrees of freedom can be idealized. In addition to the calculaton of statical problems it is possible to calculate eigenvalues (buckling,...) and dynamical problems (earthquake, free or bound vibration, dynamical loading with or without damping,...) under consideration of linear or nonlinear material properties (e.g. plasticity). All analysis may be done for small (Th.I.O.), medium (Th.II.O.) or large (Th.III.O.) displacements. Using specific solvers it is possible to calculate post buckling and snap through problems. Temperatures, residual stresses and initial displacements may be considered. Using the C#-interface we developed our own script language for the optimized system input allowing us to handle changing tasks quickly, reliably and reproducible. The office is able to use all kinds of modern communication for contact, data-transfer and project management. Access to numerous converting tools enables us to distribute the commissioned order on paper as well as in files with many data formats. This also facilitates communication while working.
The office possesses all inaugurated standards and rules in fulltext. Moreover numerous national and international standards, homologations, technical rules (e.g. for vessels), specific materials (e.g. austenite, titan, aluminium,...) and special executions (e.g. silos) are available. Importance is given to extensive specialized literature and to a broad information basis. This includes e.g. literature for welding, fatigue, prestressed constructions, special loads and much more.
Numerous dimensioning aids for a lot of varying jobs (e.g. tables, scripts, publications,...), almost given on electronic media, ease rapid working and integrating the results into the verification paper.
The available hard- and software enables the office to be flexible and best suited to optimize time resources (e.g. scanner with document feeder, recognition software,...). Supplementary precautions to ensure data safety (e.g. external mass storage, hard disk mirrors, uninterruptible power supply, firewalls, virus scanners, encoding,...) serve a maximum of security for the office and it's clients.
