The pipes and the pipe bridges of a complex plant were to be verified for earthquake including the dead loads from isolation and the forces/moments from the working conditions (temperature, pressure,...) as well as heating.
Additionally to the exemplary verifications for the above shown section, we provided overall rules to include all contained piping of the plant in the paper. Our rules also included informations for the fixing of the pipes and the bracing/framing of the bridges. Thus the owner of the plant was enabled to assess future pipings in advance.
