The free standing salt silo with a volume of 2000m3 is supported by circulating sheets. For the silo the verifications for earthquake were led. Therefor the first natural frequencies were calculated and superimposed. The verifications for stability were led for the individual wall thickness of each segment. The horizontal earthquake accelerations were derived from a seismological expertise providing the dynamic soil actions depending on the frequencies.
