The pressure vessel made of stainless steel X6CrNiTi-17-122 is operating with a pressure of 8bar and a temperature of 175 °C. It serves for the cleaning of jewellery. During an average usage of 5 years about 5000 load cycles must be considered.
We made the design and the statical analysis for the cylindrical shell and the flat end-plates considering the stress and strain increase due to the local disturbance caused by the nozzle intersection. The calculation was done using the AD specifications (working group for pressure vessels). The wall and the welding thicknesses have been optimized.
