The loading platform is integrated within the housing which has the dimensions 89,4m·14,2m. The platform is designed to charge and control railway tank wagons. Hinged and relocatable stairs are used to enter the tank wagons from the loading platform. The charging supplies are clamped below the platform and at the housing. Additional pipes for fire extinguishing had to be provided.

The horizontal forces due to the framing could not be eliminated with a continuous tie between the stanchions but had to be carried by the sole friction of the individual foundations. To avoid sparks all controls had to be intrinsically safe.
