The free standing column apparatus is clamped at the foundation and has a height of approximately 70m. In the lower section the diameter of the column changes from Ø2,7m to Ø1,8m to Ø2,7m. Nozzles are placed in the area of the cylinder-cone transitions.
We made an expertise for the load-carrying capacity of the cylinder-cone transitions. Additionally we had to evaluate the load assumptions used for the former statics and perform a dynamical analysis for earthquake for the conclusive conditions with the column housed. Therefor we calculated and superimposed the lowest natural frequencies.
